Note: Insulation thickness and overall dimensions are nominal. The number of wires and strand diameter satisfy the conductor resistance requirements as per IS:8130/1984.
Safety Requirements
  • Bending radius: approx. 15 × cable diameter.
  • Always spread out coiled welding cable before use to avoid overheating.
  • Do not splice within 10 feet of the holder.
  • Never coil/loop the cable around the worker’s body.
  • Replace cables with damaged insulation.

Current ratings are based on ambient air at 25 °C and max conductor temperature of 90 °C; duty cycles vary by application:
Automobile welding: up to 100% · Semi‑automatic: 30–85% · Manual: 0–60% · Very intermittent/occasional: up to 20%.

Voltage drop: For total cable lengths over 15 m, consider a larger cross‑section to keep voltage drop within limits and maintain adequate welding current.
