Battery cable (heat‑resistant PVC)

Battery cable (heat‑resistant PVC)

Battery cables are heavy‑duty single‑core cables used to connect batteries to starters, alternators or other high‑current equipment. They are insulated with heat‑resistant PVC to withstand automotive and marine environments.

Construction
Fine‑stranded copper conductor (often tinned for corrosion resistance); thick wall HR PVC insulation providing mechanical strength and fluid resistance.
Cable standards
Conforms to UL BC‑5W2 for marine battery cables or equivalent national standards; insulation classified for high temperature and oil resistance.
Technical specification
Rated voltage up to 600 V; operating temperature up to +105 °C dry and +75 °C wet; cross‑sections typically 6–120 mm²; high abrasion and chemical resistance.
Characteristics
Highly flexible for routing through engine compartments; enhanced resistance to oil, fuel, acids and abrasion; corrosion‑resistant due to tin‑plated conductors; suitable for high current loads.
Applications
Connecting batteries to starters, alternators, distribution blocks and inverter systems in vehicles, marine craft and industrial equipment.
