4‑core PVC round submersible cable
This round cable incorporates four insulated conductors arranged around a central filler and sheathed in PVC. It is suited to three‑phase applications with neutral or earth core and offers superior flexibility compared with flat designs.
Construction
Four stranded copper conductors laid helically with fillers; PVC insulation on each core; inner bedding and outer PVC sheath; round cross‑section for flexibility.
Cable standards
Produced to meet IS 694 and IS 8130 requirements; also aligns with IEC 60227 and BS 6004 for round PVC cables.
Technical specification
Rated voltage ≈1100 V; temperature rating around 70 °C; available conductor areas 1.5–25 mm²; robust PVC sheath thickness for mechanical protection.
Characteristics
Highly flexible with small bending radius; excellent resistance to moisture, abrasion, grease and oil; good mechanical strength and electrical properties; long service life under submerged conditions.
Applications
Power supply to three‑phase submersible pumps in deep boreholes, irrigation systems, mines and fountains; used where cables must withstand continuous immersion and mechanical stress.
