3‑core PVC round submersible cable
Round submersible cables have their three insulated conductors arranged helically around a central filler, giving the cable a circular cross‑section. The round form offers greater flexibility and mechanical strength for deeper installations.
Construction
Three stranded copper conductors laid around fillers; each core insulated in PVC; overall PVC sheath forms a round cable; fillers maintain circular shape and flexibility.
Cable standards
Designed in accordance with IS 694 for PVC insulated cables and IS 8130 for conductor construction; comparable to IEC 60227 and BS 6004.
Technical specification
Rated voltage ≈1100 V; typical sizes 1.5–35 mm²; temperature rating –15 °C to +70 °C; insulation and sheath thickness proportionate to conductor area; round geometry allows smaller bending radius.
Characteristics
Flexible and easy to handle; high efficiency and uninterrupted power transmission; excellent abrasion, moisture and chemical resistance; high conductivity and mechanical strength.
Applications
Powering submersible motors and pumps where greater depth or flexibility is required; used in deep borewells, water treatment plants and irrigation systems.
